The history of Clauss Cutlery Company began in 1877.
John H.Clauss, his young brother Henrie Clauss, and five others started "The Elyria Shear Works" in Elyria, Ohio.
Ten years later the business was prospering and chose to expand in Fremont, Ohio.
Possibly, the razor was made by Case for Clauss in Freemont, 1915 - 1940,
because the razor has unique pattern number on the tang, pic.5.
The blade is 11/16, square point, full hollow ground.
