All about classic razors Версия для печати

Barber's Triumph 594, Capitol Cutlery Co., Indianapolis, Ind., Made in Germany.

John Goins in his book "Pocketknives" indicates that Van Camp Hardware & Iron Company had its own cutlery factory from about 1904 to 1948. He goes on to say that the company, Capitol Cutlery Company of Indianapolis, Indiana, made both Van Camp Hardware and Capitol marked knives. Some very unusual razors are marked "Van Camp Hdwe & Iron Co. Indianapolis, Ind." These razors are all marked "Germany" and were probably made there in large quantities for Van Camp Hdwe.
The blade is 9/16, hollow point (barber's notch), full hollow ground.
